Hi Lostkiwi,
We flew with Malaysian on our visit to Adelaide in September and we were very pleased with them and would certainly be happy to go with them again.
We had our two daughter ages 18 months and 3 and a half and the staff were fantastic.
There were seat back tvs, loads of films and computer games.

Quantas Biz class is great, but coach class is cr*p (except the cabin staff are very good about refuelling your wine glasses - drinkable wine too!).
IM past E, you can't go wrong with Cathay, Singapore & Malaysian (MAS). When my Father in law was taken seriously ill at LHR while waiting to board a Singapore Airlines plane recently, they were absolutely *brill* - no other word for it. We phoned them in a panic to find out which hospital etc he'd been rushed to & they were kind, efficient & sympathetic. Can't speak highly enough about them.

We used "Singapore" because of price offered, and generally they were excellent!
The only down side was having a RAW FISH SANDWICH offered for breakfast. And my 4 year old boy given a glowing(yes it looked RADIOACTIVE) lasagne for his main meal, even i couldn't eat it!!!
Apart from that they were excellent.
my little lad was ill on the flight, and the stewardess was very very helpful.
For us a main factor in choosing a carrier is cost, so i guess it'll be raw fish and radio active lasagne again next time. Hoping for april '05 to validate the visas
