Being a sponser in Brisbane
Just reading a thread that says you cannot be a sposer if you live in a major city!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is this correct if so does this apply to parent migration visa where we would sponser our parents to come over to Brisbane!!!!!!!

Well you can in Perth so shouldn't see any probs with Brisbane unless there are rule changes I'm unaware of

I think you can't live in a major city on a regional sponsored visa, this isn't the same as not being able to be the sponsor.
Seems unlikely to me they wouldn't allow it though!

With sponsoring for parent visas, it makes no difference where you live.
Rules for skilled sponsored are not quite the same.

Depends what kind of visa - no problem with Skilled Designated Area Sponsored, you can live anywhere you like. Depending on where you live you may not be able to *sponsor* for this visa.
