Beds
Im currently gathering all my personal possessions inventory for shipping to Brisbane.
Obviously some items I have are unobtainable in Aus or very expensive. Im listing how much certain items will cost if there is damage and need to be replaced.
I've recently bought a new bed, it cost in the region of 3K, a pocket sprung divan. I've also a single bed of the same quality. Vi sprung, Harrison, Hypnos are brands that I'm taking about.
Are there any alternatives of the same quality in Australia I can check out and compare if I need to made a claim on insurance?
Thank you!
Big move in Aug! Yay!

Re: Beds
You could check out snooze.com.au and price their beds. Remember a UK King Size bed is a Australian Queen x

Re: Beds
Hi, I'm looking for a zip and link super King, what would that be called in Aus? I've found Hypnos bed so far which are similar to what I'm looking for but no zip and link, just so can get prices for my shipment insurance.

Re: Beds
Make sure you rely on the stated measurements, not the style (eg., King.)
Australia just loves to be different, and beds are a prime example - their bed measurements are not the same as elsewhere.

It's all about perspective, I thought it was the UK being different by not having the same bed measurements as Australia

Re: Beds
Nope, same here in Philippines. Some strange bed sizes - mainly shorter as Filipinos on average are shorter than UK bods! A "standard" single is only 6foot long as against 6ft6in in UK! We have a UK standard 4ft6in double bed in one room and had to have a mattress made to fit it here! Luckily a multispring mattress is relatively cheap here - Mandaeu Foam make spring mattresses for a lot of places - including John Lewis in Uk!
