Becoming a Director of an Australian Company
My husband has been offered the chance of becoming a Director of an Australian Company, does anyone know how does that effect his ability and his familys ability to obtain citzenship. He is currently aged 50 years.

You will have to be a permanent resident on an appropriate visa for 2 years in order to qualify for citizenship. There are shorter waits for military personnel who transfer to the Australian military, but otherwise it's 2 years and set to go up to 4 after 1 July.

But are there more details you haven't shared with us? Is this "directorship" really a job offer? From what size/type of company? What would he be working as? What kind of skill and education profile does he have? What's his wife's occupation? And so on.

Becoming a director of an Australian corporation in itself means nothing. You can buy an off the shelf corporation from ASIC and appoint yourself director. It's not that simple to get citizenship.
