Default Beautiful Aotearoa

Went over to Karekare today (pronounced 'carrycarry') which is a black sand beach 30mins west of Auckland. The Piano was filmed on this very beach.

As there seems to be the usual 'Aus/NZ is better than the UK / Oh no it's not!!' debate raging in B.expats, here are some photos for the undecided.

ps it's the middle of winter here as well

Russ

Had a really bad day today saying goodbye to my weeping family. Not a good sight to see me on the train crying my eyes out. Went online and saw these stunning pictures of my new home.

Thanks Russ for really cheering me up on this nasty day!!!

PS Still not had a PM off you about meet up.

Hey Britboy,

Just turned up in Auckland a couple of months ago and it has to be said - if this is as bad as the weather gets here, I think I can handle it!!!!!

Certainly beats the UK in January!!!!

I'm not going to get into the whole "oz/nz, which is better" arguement but NZ is certainly great!!!
