Default Batteries

Spent so much time de-soiling, de-fooding, de-liquiding things, etc.

Please can someone confirm that batteries don't need to be taken out of stuff. Don't know where the idea came from but I'm now cursed with the idea that I have to de-batteryise everything too.

I didn't & we brought a large divers lamp complete with lead acid motorcycle battery with no problems. Smaller stuff that could be damaged by leaking batteries, remotes for t.v's and the like it may pay you to remove the batteries.
On a similar note some friends of ours shipped tools and the shippers refused to ship the tiny compressed air cylinder that powered his plaslode framing gun yet I had no problems shipping a full dive cylinder. I guess it depends upon your shippers.
