whats the best banks to use in qld?

we are moving to caloundra hopefully next year and just wondering what other people think are the best banks and can i open an account from here?

Do a search on this forum and you;ll see this has been discussed at length before. I'm with ANZ and would have no problem recommending them. We opened the account from the UK and they had our cards, etc ready here when we landed

thanks, how soon before going did you contact bank?

I think about a month. But they were very good and we had confirmation of the account within a couple of weeks. We made an appointment to go into the bank the day after we landed and we very happy with our service
