Does anyone know if / which Australian banks take a charge for opening an account with travellers cheques?

Hi there, sorry I don't know the answer but have you thought about opening an Aussie bank account while you're still in the UK? You can then deposit money here for small or no fee & just pick up your debit cards etc when you get there. Just a suggestion, cos that's how we're doing it with CBA (should we ever get there!)
