Default Bank cards.. have you had probs with the plastic?

Since leaving UK, we have had 4 different bank accounts 2 in Aus and 2 in NZ. Every single card i have had including eftpos and credit cards have ended up being damaged by twisting or warping so that i can't use them. They are kept in a normal leather purse/wallet.
I have now found out that because i am about to have my 3rd ANZ card replaced they are going to charge me!!
Has anyone else had this happen?

nope cant say i have (touch wood!!) my cards always seem to last ok, my husband would probably say thats becasue they are not in my purse long enough cheeky so and so..
hubby sometimes had his snap but that was only because he would keep them in a wallet in his back pocket and was constantly bending it whenever he sat down but dont understand why that should happen to you if you are keeping them in your purse..
maybe stick to cash.. you spend less as well!!!!

LOL nope no kids, unless you count the dog and i doubt he could reach the microwave.
I'm wondering if it is something to do with my purse. Cant see why though. Its all leather and has separate pouches for each card. Very strange.
