Good Morning Every body,
Can anyone help us? When we go to Brisbane in June to activate our visa's although we will be on holiday can we open a bank account in australia and what documents and id would we need with us?

Yes you can open one. All you need is your passport.

Also an address in OZ to send your statements and Key card.

Or open it here, transfer some money & collect keycards when you land in oz (http://www.migrantbanking.co.uk/). You still need an OZ address when you collect cards/activate them.

That could be a good option the only problem is the address in oz as we will only be on holiday this time although we do have our 136 visa's. Also is there a min deposite that we have to make

There is no minimum deposit (that I can remember), we wanted the BSB & Account number before we left the UK so we deposited £500 to get this info whilst we were still in Scotland. Search the forum for a thread I contributed to about 2 - 3 months ago about migrant banking. Tells you pretty much everything you need to know.
