Default Baggage allowances help........

Hi, we need some advice regarding the mysteries of baggage allowance. We contacted Malaysian airlines who stated there is no extra allowance for migrant travellers..... Can anyone suggest alternatives as we are planning to leave in Nov 05 thanx

We have just booked flights with Emirates for Sept 05. They doubled their allowance to 40kg for people emigrating. We booked through expedia and had to call emirates who put it on their computer. Emirates were also the cheapest.
Hope this helps

Worth e-mailing singapore airlines and having it in writing re 40kg as when we checked in they argued it was only 30kgs. Showed them letter and things were fine.
Good luck

Or, if baggage allowance is important to you, you could consider flying via the US where you get 74 kg's per person travelling.

We went that way and it wasnt all that much more for the ticket than going direct.
