Default Baggage Allowance !

Hi all
Just to let you all know something I doscovered while booking my tickets this week.
If you fly to Australia via the USA the total baggage allowance is 2 pieces at 64kg which is even more then the 40kg allowed under immigration rules and it's open to everyone.
I don't know why this is but it's good !!
Regards
Simon.

That's alot of luggage!! Especially for a family of 3 (450 lbs in old money!!)

Is that with all carriers - and does it include further 'stop offs' e.g we're thinking of going via LA/San Francisco and Fiji?

Any advice would be useful

Thanks

Kev

I, the said wife has just returned from work and will be talking to the hubby, who may also have to wash the dishes after he has cooked the tea.

We are flying out 10th June to Fiji for 4 days via LA and then onto Brisbane via Sydney - they allow you 2 pieces of 32kg each - all the way! Not sure I have enough to fill 4 pieces of luggage.
