Well, I shall just keep posting when I can then...it's good to know you are out there, all of you.
Wenger - nope, no guilt here. I'm very lucky to have had and still have an excellent relationship with my family. There is nothing left unsaid, nothing I wish I'd done differently and I don't think there is anything my parents would have done differently either. My mum is worried about not being there for us in the future, for my brother's wedding, my other brother's graduation etc etc and she's p***ed off not to have made it out to Oz to see what I've been going on about for all these years! But she's not gone yet, so there's no point worrying about what hasn't happened. We'll see.
It's our collective sense of humour that's getting us through this. None of us are the type to lay about weeping or beating our chests in an agony of grief. We make the best of a bad situation and find humour where we can. And believe me, we've had some laughs over the last three weeks. But you're right Mrs neal - there is a fine line between laughing and crying. But I refuse to grieve yet - she's still here! It certainly is a rollercoasted of emotions, sometimes all at the same moment.
Bix - your words are helpful, never doubt that. Logging on and seeing the posts here gets me through the days.
Pollster - how's NZ? Can't believe you're over there! So much has happened in the last few weeks, and not just to me.
Monday is drawing nearer. My mum is convinced that they are goign to say there is nothing they can do. It's hard to keep positive in that situation. But we've got this far, so I have faith that we can get through the next step, however hard it is. It's not like we have a choice, so we have to just get on with it....

Well, tomorrow draws ever closer.
I'm booked for hair duty at 8.30am - putting in my mum's rollers. Good to see she still cares about her appearance, although obviously not that much if she's happy to let me do it!
Ambulance booked for 9.30am. The whole lot of us are going down there. Might crowd out the waiting room a bit, but we don't give a stuff. We're all in this together, so we're all going to be there for the news.
Consultant appointment is at 10.15am, so think of us all then. This being Jersey, we'll be seen on time, so send those positive thoughts winging this way.
Not much else to be said really. This time tomorrow, we will know all, and everything will be different. It's a scary prospect, that's for sure.

Favourite juices? Apple, carrot and ginger. Or banana and mango. Or apple and berries. Anything really.

My evening - your morning and it is weird sitting here wondering how you are all doing.
The most positive of positive thoughts are headed for Jersey for the rest of the evening.

Right, just back from the hospital...
It's better than we had feared, and better than we had been told to prepare ourselves for.
The cancer has only reached the bone - nothing in the liver (the big fear) or anywhere else. It's not curable, but it is treatable. They've already got her on the anti-oestrogen drugs and she'll be having radiotherapy next month. But at this stage, no talk of surgery or chemo.
We won't have her forever, maybe just a couple of years, maybe longer, maybe less. No one knows. But we have her for now and there are things that can be done.
Strange to be relieved that it is *only* breast and bone cancer, but it is a relief. Still a mountain to climb, but at least we have the option.
And the juicer's arrived....
Thanks for all your support, keep it coming now that we have a battle to commence.
More later....
