Back from the UK
Well we got back from sunny birmingham yesterday, havnt been on expats at all.....have I missed anything???
Had a fantastic time, but very chaotic. In retrospect 2 weeks wasnt nearly enough time to see everyone. Stuck to my guns and spent time with the people I miss rather than duty calls, I upset a few people along the way unfortunately but dont regret it.
It didnt really feel like we'd been away but we have only been here 5 months. It didnt seem grey (despite the weather) or crowded, and I could quite happily live there again, but then again I was never coming here to escape.
I feel a little mixed about returning. I still miss my friends like mad, despite having made really good ones here, my 3 closest friends had time off for my return so we made the most of it and 2 of them are coming over in the next 6 months so that helps. Will had a mediocre time and is very happy to be back, Millie had a great time but is still glad to be back, shes definately seeing Aus as home already, the jurys out for me......

Good to have you back Michaela; I neeeeeeed a night out! Are you coming to the meet next weekend? Glad you caught up with your mates - any good nightclubbing stories?
Interesting..... you didn't quite succeed in proving my theory of seeing the UK through rose-tints then? Time for a chat methinks....
the jurys out for me......
