Baby Born in Australia

Hi! All,
We have PR for Australia. We are expecting a baby in Jan next year. As I understand if our baby is born in Australia she will get the citizenship automatically.
Can anyone tell me how long does it take to get the citizenship/passport, as we have to return back to our place of work, which is outside Australia.
Thanks

An Australian passport would be the best option. But there is always
the option of an Australian Declaratory Visa in the child's foreign
passport:
