PB we are really going to miss you when you're back in the UK with all the
other PB's and we're all over there having a better life. boy are you in for
a shock when you get back here. More rain than Manchester? That may be true
but if it all falls in two weeks instead of the whole goddam year I can live
with that. If you guys want to hear something positive, everybody I've ever
spoken to who's gone to OZ says life there compared to here is EASY! PB
you're a voice in the wilderness. In fact, I think you secretly love it and
just want to stop the rest of us coming and spoiling your fun. well guess
what - WE'RE STILL COMING!!

although PB may speak in "the glass is half empty" terms, you would do well to read between his lines. "everyone I have spoken to says its easier than the UK (or words to that effect) - the ones who came back from Oz have said what to you.....?

selective hearing - everyone suffers from it. its what you make it over here, but it is very different, it is NOT a nirvana, and you will not be sipping G&T's by the beach earning stacks of cash working very few hours. there is a small population here trying to provide a 1st World infrastructure to a country the same size as the northern continental united states. the taxes are high, the salaries are low and you dont get anything for nothing.

i really do hope that you represent the minority of the "Rosey Spectacle" brigade - do yourself a favour, and approach this country with open eyes. not everything is bad, but not everything is good either.

regards

a british citizen living in australia.

So you should its great here ,the biggest shock I ever had was my first job in WA , its was bloody great working in third world sheld for a bowl of rice.
The temp was 52 degs inside but great for my social life , the old bastard who owned it loved to blow people out, in 8 months must have meet 90 people not unlike yourself full of high hopes as they joined the dole .
Offered lovely job last week in 30year old tin sheld some twat going on about people coming to WA do not understand whats needed ie. sweat your balls for little reward .
Anyway what do I know you are much better informed than I am , join the the rest of the groveling masses here who under cut each other in order to get a job.Best Wishes PB
