Re: Australian Winters
Well, it's been hail and sleet here today: blowing a BIG gale the last few days (common for 6 weeks around this time of year) and below zero at night.
Well, you *did* ask.... |

Re: Australian Winters
Very cold here every now and then. Most nights we have the wood burner going and I have a heated wheat bag in bed :D Perfect life for me would be September - May here, June through August in Cairns. Snow was falling in the Blue Mountains today and Worzel in Perth scraped ice off his windscreen the other morning! Well, you did ask ;)

Re: Australian Winters
If you want warm winters come to Cairns, clear blue shies and 26 degrees in the day time. 19 degrees at the moment (9.30pm)

Dont knock it ,best winter we have had for a long time, in 3 months time you will be begging for rain............;)mm
We have been here 2 1/2 years and all people seem to do is talk about how much rain we have had/not had. Watching the bloody stuff drain down to the sea is bad enough, then the constant Murray River debate...its nearly as bad as living in the UK! Jacqui:D |
Re: Australian Winters
Well i'm only 2 weeks in, and the Sydney Winter is a pleasant suprise to me.
Sure its cool, but i can handle 15'C winters. I'm walking around in T-shirts and getting very funny looks from people. I'm sure that next winter i will be wrapped up and complaining that its bitter cold, but for me at present it feels like late spring early summer. Stu |

Stu I'd like to see you up here in your summer clothes. There's always one mad tourist with blue legs in Leura. |
