Default Australian child labour laws

I'm 14 and i'm moving to auz, In QLD can i LEGALLY get a part time job? And when i say a job i don't mean a paper round because i've had one and although i done the work i hated it . So i am only asking about REAL jobs. eg. in a shop. Because my friend has moved to spain 2 years ago and he can get a job like this. Thank you.

sorry for posting guys i shouldve asked google in the first place. For any people that actually want to know heres a fact sheet about child labour in qld

http://dir.qld.gov.au/pdf/ir/child_e...fact_sheet.pdf

UMMM - if you are only 14 and using language like that then you won't get a job.......even in Australia.

Good on you!! Sorry I can't help with the rules on jobs, but I suspect you will be able to get something. I know a 15 year old who works in Maccers, but I am not sure what age you can start - I will ask around at school.

Don't know about QLD, but in NSW I think you can work legally at 14 years and 9 months. Our nearest McDonalds seems to be almost entirely staffed by 14-year-olds.

You have to be 14 to get a job in Maccas. Anywhere else it's 14 years and 9 months.
