Hi Guys,

Anybody out there have a C.V. resume layout template suitable for Australia?

We arrive in Perth 3rd September, so really need to start applying for jobs.

Any help very much appreciated.

Its not really much different to the UK one although some prefer a bit more detail in the descriptions. I used my UK layout for all my job applications. Not that I did that many. I work in Admin and have now been in my perm job for 2.5 years.

I've been told my UK one is fine, its is 4 pages long though, so I guess you are right about them liking more detail.

I'm also curious to see what the difference is between a CV in Australia and one in Canada or the United States (other than spelling or terminology differences).

I didn't think there is really a standard layout/template in North America - the style used is dependent on the type of profession you're in, how long you've been out of university, how high up you are etc. etc.

Would it not be the same in Australia, or is there literally a standardized layout everyone uses?
