Australian banking fees VS UK "no fees"
Nationwide do not charge for you to use their credit card in Australia - you just pay their going exchange rate (which is mostly bang on the mark)
So we have a Direct debit to pay it off monthly and use this.
we have an anz account but there are fees everywhere and it may be saving us just to use our UK account!
anyone else looked at this?

Might I suggest that you look around at some of the more sensible bank options. For example, we are with National Bank who offer 5.25% interest and providing we have $3000 in the account then its no fee and unlimited transactions - basically UK banking fee structure providing you have that in the bank.
There are heaps more banks out there offering this sort of account which means you can then take advantage of forex rates and transfer funds from the UK.
