Re: Australian Army

I have recently left the Australian Army (real army not reserves) after 20 years
service during which time I did a stint in Army recruiting in Melbourne, you should
have been given some indicators by the Recruiting Officer to whom you spoke initially
at the least, the category for instance is very relevant, are you attempting General
Entry?, prior service in Brit Army? females may take longer to be offered a position
(from my experience there are not as many positions available) you say we from that I
understand you are a "couple" both attempting entry? where are you attempting
enlistment? (in Australia or overseas?) ...it is very difficult to give a definitive
answer without know more facts. sorry.

Have a look at the Defence Careers web site at http://www.defencejobs.gov.au/armysite.htm where you can check
out the detail and ask questions as well.

Terri

As I understand you must have full citizenship before you can work in any govt
organisation.

You will have to reside in Oz for 2 years before you can apply for citizenship.

Hope this helps.
