Australia Needs Skills Expo?
Hi Everyone,
I have come across this Expo in London in June being held by DIAC. What do you think? Is it worth going if your skill is on the CSL List?

I've registered but heard nothing yet.
You have to be invited and I'm not sure if they let you know if you have not been picked. They've cancelled one of these this year, they'll be having 1 event rather than 2 and given the cut backs on visas those that are picked will be lucky.

There is a thread on this in the immigration forum. We went last year, but only had our invite about 2 weeks before the event. You get a 15 min time slot to enter the building and are allowed 2 hours there. Only the person invited can go in, no partners/friends. Have a quick search on the immigration one anyway and you'll find the other random stuff that I put on there.

Hi
My OH went last year and found it to be pretty much a waste of time but then again by that stage we were already quite far into the process and had probably found out most of the info we needed from the internet and contacts.
So I reckon, it depends on what stage you are at, as to whether it may be helpful?
