Australia: Good and Bad in One Day
The Bad
Shopping this morning for dried lasagne sheets. Found some on SPECIAL for $3.00. Now get this, the special was reduced by.........11 cents!! That's 4 pence folks or a 3.5% discount. I couldn't believe it! What does this suggest about either the marketing strategies of Australian supermarkets or the gullibility iof Australian consumers? Can anyone still in Britain find me a worse special offer than this?
The Good
Swimming this afternoon in Bold Park - an open air pool in Perth's Western suburbs. Youngest child free and for myself and oldest child a total of $6. 2.40GBP for unlimited swimming - fantastic!
