Australia among the 'healthiest' countries in the world

Re: Australia among the 'healthiest' countries in the world
Now that is funny. Probably a ring of truth in it actually. If your not happy with your place in the world, those feelings tend to manifest themselves in minor ailments and worse. I get hayfever which sometimes becomes asthma myself here. I reckon I had it undiagnosed in the UK, I certainly had pretty bad symptoms on my last trip back in the month of June.
I can remember having runny noses every winter in the UK.... Never had as regular as clockwork bouts of that here.

I've been sicker since I moved to Australia than I was for years in the UK.
Failing eyesight due to shingles. constant eczema due to too much or too little humidity, constant reliance on antihistamines due to hayfever all year round, and for the first time in my life officially diagnosed with serious depression.
Yeah, its a really healthy place to be

Failing eyesight due to getting a little older , my eczema has cleared up 100% (and i was in hospital a couple of times mine was that bad), not took any hayfever tablets since i've been here (no symptons) and i have officially been diagnosed with serious HAPPINESS....

Well I don't think the fattest are in the majority yet so everyone who isn't in the fattest club must obviously be in the healthiest club. Where people like me go who are neither fat nor particularly healthy I have no idea.

I can imagine a fat person in Australia is going to live a lot longer than a malnourished person in a developing country with inadequate healthcare and general infrastructure.
Of course, there's even some countries in Europe that have similar issues that impact on health.
Why on earth wouldn't Australia be one of the healthiest countries in the world when it ranks number 2 on the Human Development Index? Do you think it's going to be on a par with Bulgaria or something?

I think fast food and soft drinks should carry labels similar to cigarettes:
