Australia 6th in quality of life survey
The survey was conducted in 2005 by the Economist magazine. The USA came 13th and the UK 29th despite high income levels apparently due to high levels of social and family break down.

I'm hardly surprised that the US is below us.
The UK result is interesting.

OH family are Irish and I have been there. Has its fair share of crap in the big cities.
It is a great place but don't know how they arrive at top spot.
