Hi again!

I'm not sure about exchanges but I would have thought that they might take you on at the end of your RAF engagement. My hubby's due out of the RN in 2005 and we applied last year to the RAN to see if he could join them once he's out the RN. Unfortunately they had no places available for his trade but we were told to apply again next year. I have the name of the person we contacted in the RAN - he may be able to give you details of his equivalent in the ARAF. Let me know if you'd like them....

I tried this avenue and unless you are an officer they won't look at you!!

However, once you have left the British services they will accept an application as long as you have more than 10 years service.

The RAF stopped transfers to the RAAF back in 1991/92. Bloody killjoy's.

Depending on what rank you are/were, have you applied for a 6 mth exchange????

Default RAAF

Oh dear,
Only done 9 years
Only a J/T
hmmmmm.
Must be other work avenues, because I can get my 60 points under "General Mechanical Engineering Tradesperson" so it means finding a job.
Thanks

Mike
