I understand that before you can work as an electrician,you,ve got to take an exam.Is this a theory exam or just terminology?Also do you have to have 16th edition?
These questions may well be forgotten when i get to Perth & become a deckchair hirer!

If you are heading to Perth the last one may not be of any use.
We have spoken to a bloke in Brisbane who says we have to wait till we are there to sort the stuff out. But he has taken our file number and is getting all our stuff sent to his office so it will be there waiting hence save time when we do eventually arrive. - one day!

cheers for the replies,i can't believe how much info i get from this site (& without paying throgh the nose ).
i found a site which lists each states licensing board, but no web addresses.so i'll take your advice & wait til i get there.another excuse for not hurrying to find a job
