2 seats booked, front row. It's a series lasting 6 programs isn't it?

And of course you can stay up for the Davis Cup final from Melbourne, midnight Sky Sports 1 (3.00 am Saturday morning, midnight Saturday night).

a new life downunder

This brand new eight-part series charts the progress of eight British families emigrating to different parts of Australia.

Every year, thousands of Britons move abroad in search of a new life and sunnier climes. Among the most popular destinations for emigrants is Australia, where the language is the same but the pound is worth more and the sunshine is guaranteed.

However, 11,000 miles is a big step to take, and a long way to leave family, friends and security behind. Will their newly adopted country live up to the various families' expectations? And does emigrating ever solve fundamental problems, or does it merely create new ones?

Each one-hour programme concentrates on one family and their experience, whether they're taking over a local shop in rural Tasmania or setting up a chic boutique in Sydney, trying to start again after bereavement, or wondering whether to take an estranged spouse back into the home.

For some, the vision of a better life begins to turn into reality. But for others, fate has some unwelcome surprises in store that soon put their whole dream move in doubt.
