Aussie Gifts?

Does anyone know of any good "online" Aussie gift shops ( or if not, any in "real" shops in Brisbane area) that sells unusual Aussie gifts... and I don't mean stuffed koalas , and plastic coasters... the usual boring tourist stuff.

I'm trying to find something a bit different for Christmas gifts to send home ... and I can't find anything which is not a stupid stuffed Koala!

Last year I sent some Kangaroo "ball bags" home :D, a cane toad purse (real), and some Aborigine design plates etc.

This year I'm having a hard job! I actually have been looking for some "Zoo Poo" apparently you can get it in keyrings, but I can't find this zoo poo stuff anywhere! ... and no I'm not going to chuck the zoo poo at the wallabies :D ... wishful thinking.

Or maybe, anything like Bush tucker... spices , jams or something.

Anyone know of a good shop for stuff/gifts?

cheers:)

My pleasure...and yes, I should point out that I was not aware of the link to the sex aid catalogue when I posted this! For those of you of a more sensitive nature, avoid clicking on the larger "brochure" advert in the middle of the page and stick to the smaller links at the top and bottom!

I looked up Zoo Poo on google and this is what I got.

Zoo poo strike
September 27 2002

Zookeepers at Sydney's Taronga Park Zoo have walked off the job and will refuse to clean up animal droppings until they receive a pay rise, a union said today.

Zookeepers will strike until 6am (AEST) tomorrow and will impose bans on the collecting animal faeces over the weekend.

The workers are angry that they are being denied a three per cent rise negotiated under a public sector-wide agreement with the NSW Government.

The Australian Workers Union (AWU) said Taronga Zoo management had told zookeepers they would not receive the rise because they had not achieved productivity targets.

But AWU state secretary Russ Collision said the productivity targets had been met and zoo management was simply attempting to stall the wage rise.

"What has outraged the workers is that management have given themselves the three per cent pay rise but are denying it to the workforce," Mr Collison said.

"Something stinks at the zoo and, come tomorrow, the public will be able to witness it for themselves."

Comment was being sought from the zoo.

I wonder what comment was offered by the zoo!?!?

Thanks Aussielady... I go to the Geographic shop each year for xmas gifts... but I've never seen roo poo there.. I may be just missing it or something. .

I've found a shop in Brisbane which sells Koala poo :D .. 40 Charlotte Street (near the pancake manner). Some sort of save the koala shop. They sell poo on pens/pencils and things... seems quite cheap too
I'll post this link anyway..I emailed them and they said they have a shop too.

Also found a few online shops for cane toads... (I was searching on the wrong words... I tried searching zoo poo.. nothing, so I put in koala poo.. got loads back ... Google search) Also I searched Cane toad purse... got a few back with that too.

Also emailed the guy who runs the roopoo site (the link colin gave me)... , sells cane toads too, he says no worries , if I order today.. I'll get the goods next week.
I always leave my Christmas shopping late :D (I'm rushing now.. trying to get gifts to send back to the UK in time)

Thanks :)
