i dont understand how you could get an CCRIO report from the RMP when you have not yet finished your service?

maybe i am missing something here?

They only write the report on your overseas postings. UK PCC covers the rest.

My mate was at a military show in Sydney with his two boys - they let it drop that he was an ex commando and also had bomb disposal training.

Later in the day he was approached by an officer who told him about a new CT unit they were setting up using both regular and part time forces.

As I understand it they will draw upon elements of the 4Th Bat Royal Aust Reg (they are regular commando's) and 1st Commando Reg (part time in Randwick NSW & williamstown VIC)

He sent me a link about it, if I find it I'll post.

Hi toobs, I'm a weapon technician in the RAF, and I recently emailed SNP SECURITY to see what they had to offer, they don't want my skills, but they do recruit weapons instructors. With the increase of air marshals, your skills would be very useful.
I hope you can get some good info from them.

Hi, I've already sent my application off to transfer to the Army (RAAOC/RAAPC). You must be a minimum rank of a Sgt. You also need to send off your last 3 CRs and all courrse reports hat are held on your P file.

I'm currently a mil clerk (Sgt) and personally know 3 other SNCOs who have transferred 2 AGC, 1 REME. Luckily I can still PVR so don't have to give 12 months notice.

Hope this helps

Gary

A few question to anyone on the forum who has transferred from the UK military to the ADF,

How long did it take for your paperwork to go through? I am currently based in Germany, I can get a police check from the RMP no probs, UK should also be easy as well (Cousin is Chief supt).

How does the Aussie Army hold upto the British Army? I've done alot of checks my self and it seems to be run on pretty much the same lines as over here, apart from the DHE is better in Oz.

I'm coming over with my missus and 3 girls all aged 6 and under! if i get accepted for transfer.

Does anyone know what the recruiting is like in Oz? Do they sufer the same shortages as we suffer in the Brtish Forces?

Cheers

Gary
