aus expos and more
hi all
its been a while since i have been on here as we put our plans on hold but are now looking at the process again, my question is what are your views on going to expos? we dont know whether it is worth going to one to find out more about the process of applying to migrate or are they more about the job market?
also when making a CV to send to an agent how much detail would you suggest putting on? I am in the process of making my husbands CV up - he has been a self employed floor and wall tiler for 22 years but with no official paperwork. How much detail would you go into on a CV?
thanks in advance

I went to one and I got in for free and I still thought it was a waste of money!!!
It sounds as if there will be loads of employers there waiting to interview you etc. It is basically a gathering of people looking to sell you there services or at least give you all the gen on them as an organisation. So the banks are represented, the removal firms and the like.
They did have a guy doing a presentation on W.A and that was reasonably interesting but to be honest he didn't tell me anything more than I had already ascertained for myself.
Cheers

If you are at the beginning of the visa process then it may be beneficial but otherwise I wouldn't bother personally.

Exciting in a dazzled by the lights way with all the aussie accents and strap lines on the stands but ultimately pointless. You come away with a carrier bag full of leaflets none the wiser
