Exchange rate has just hit 2.50043 on xe. Why couldn't this have happened 3 months ago!

What is pissing me off is that the difference for us between exchanging at $2.39 (rate achieved only a week or so ago) and $2.50 is $11,400 BUT the bastards in our house sale chain are dragging their heels about exchanging.

It's about $25k in our case, which is a lot of candy. Unfortunately you need a crystal ball to predict forex movements. The house we bought would have cost $50k more now compared to when we bought it in Febrary. Swings & roundabouts I suppose.

I read reports recently that the AUD was entering a weaker cycle. Guess it's happening.
