1. No one knows
2. Why take a double hit on the exchange rates and also potentially subject yourself to more fluctuation with the USD in the mean time.

The expectation that the AUD/USD rate will be 1.1 USD to each AUD by March next year.

You could always leave most of your money in the UK, just bring what you need for now and wait till theres a better exchange rate.

Can't wait until we have parity with the greenback.

Oooh... where have you seen that little tidbit?

We'll be looking to exchange our AUD to Canadian next year, probably in July/August so I'm trying to guess when the best time to do it would be.

Pretty much expected by most analysts in the press.

Switzer on the business channel, has been giving that theory a big push. Some very bullish comments about the aussie dollar on that show:ohmy:

Well, if it happens then that would be good news to me. Unless of course it's only the US dollar that tanks and the Canadian and Oz dollar move up together.

Oh well... we shall all see what happens though I guess. It would be a dream come true if the CAD/AU dollar where at par though :D

Any research material on that?

The last I heard was 90 cents by the end of the year and mid nineties next year.

1:1.1 is fantastic don't get me wrong!!!

Crossing my fingers it happens again around next July/August :fingerscrossed::D

I've been watching the rate for a while now and was surprised it went so low a few months back. Right now I'm planning on a 0.9 AU to 1 CDN, anything above that will be a bonus :D
