Default Auctioning your house

I am completely green when it comes to auctioning a house in the UK, but selling it through an agent sounds like a painful, drawn out process.

Have you considered selling by auction, and what are your thoughts on this method?

Have attended a few UK property auctions, it tends mainly to be repossesions or landlords selling on portfolios.

Good way to pick up bargain property but you have to know what you are doing and usually its cash transactions, they tend to result in a lower price but the benefit being quick cash sale.

Mainly UK auctions are done from hotel suite, if you do a search on UK auctions you can see catalogues and get an idea of how things work.

The estate agent route is still the most popular and cheaper than selling in Australia.

Take a look at http://www.findaproperty.co.uk/edit0007.html

Thats the main reason I keep my eye on auctions, would love an old church or somthing unusual to do up. Problem is they are always out of my price range.
