Hi Tivoli,
Is it possible for you to rent your house out, ask for 6 months unpaid leave and go to have a look.
As a policy officer you would probably be looking at living in Wellington, possible Auckland. Earning I would think in the region of $40,000 - $60,000. I had a friend who was a policy analyst in race relations and they earned $60,000+.
Have a look at www.stuff.co.nz or jobnet.co.nz.
If your partner feels that strongly about not staying in London, it is obviously something you really need to consider.
Good luck
KAZ

If you just bought house 200K you should probably right now sell house 180K and count yourself lucky. Your loss will be more, soon.

If you value your partner you don't have too much choice, do you?

You are young enough for none of it to matter too much. Go get back together again. NZ
