ATO - Do unpaid bills ever expire??????
Hi there,
This is a bit of a dilemma for us......
We left NSW in 2005 owing about $5000 to the ATO. We set up a standing order for regular repayments which somehow got overlooked when the 12 month standing order expired...
Anyway we have always planned to return but 1 year has become nearly 4 and we are buying a house in the Uk so who knows when we will go back to live - if ever
Does anyone know if these outstanding ATO bills will find us or if we will be dragged off by the beagles if we ever step foot in Sydney again??????
Thanks,
Emma
