Default assurance of support - taxable income

Hi all. We live in Australia, and my husband is intending to provide an Assurance of Support for his brother, who is hoping to migrate here from the UK with his wife and two children. We believe that for our particular situation my husband needs to prove a taxable income of $35,107 and his annual salary easily exceeds this. However, because of deductions allowed for investments we hold, his assessment from the Australian tax office shows a taxable income of only just over $30,000 for last year, although this year he just scrapes in at the necessary $35K. As long as he includes a copy of his end of year Group Certificate from his employer, showing his real salary, as well as the Tax Office assessment, does anyone know if this will this be sufficient?
