Asking Family
 

Hi everyone,

I was after some advice from anyone who has been in this situation.

It seems that we stand a better chance gaining entry into OZ if we could be sponsored by my Uncle in SA. I am close to him but feel really awkward asking if he could help. Has anyone had to approch a family member and if so how did you do it?

I'm sure he would help, but me.........in a tizz!!!

We are currently in NZ about to return to UK but we were thinking of moving onto Oz like yourself but needed a sponsership off my husbands Uncle. It was very awkward like you said but in the end just telephoned him and asked, we sent him all the relevant information and proof that we could financially support ourselves and he agreed!!! So just ask him as he can only say "YES" or"NO" and if the answer is no you can quickly find alternative ways to get there. GOODLUCK!
