Ashgrove
We have been reading with great interest the various posts about preferred suburbs of Brisbane and there is a great deal of information about Bayside areas and Samford which both look great. For whatever reason we like the look of Ashgrove and the schools there, we have 2 young children.
We have just sold our house now ( hooray!!) and we are now busy sorting out all our junk in the attic!! We would love to hear from anyone that knows the Ashgrove area, we have, hopefully, enrolled our kids into Mater Dei Primary to commence in January and hope to find a rental property in December. As we are new to the area, we would love to hear from anyone that can give us some tips on the area. The house prices do seem quite high! Are there some good areas to buy ( not full of hoons!) which are family friendly and a little more reasonable?! Thanks |

Re: Ashgrove
Hi, I drive through there on the way into work & yes, it seems nice. One of the girls at work used to live there & says its a good area. Sorry, haven't got any specifics for you, have you tried the good old ourbrisbane.com.au

Re: Ashgrove
Its one of the area we like the look of. Been around the neighbouring area of red hill, paddo etc and they were lovely - exactly what we are after. Ashgrove is just a few minutes further out so reckon slightly quieter but still close to the city.
