arundle or hope island
help please, have been offered temporary rentals (6 months) in both hope island (sanctuary gardens) or arundle (The Terraces) both 3 bed properties on residential complexes. If go to hope island girls will go to Helensvale high school, if go to arundle will go the Pacific pines hich school.
Does anyone know either of these complexes/areas and can help with information on anything and everything relating to this.
thanks

You must have friends in high places !! Very desirable locales.
I would plump for Hope Island, my opinion the better address.. but then im not a gold coaster
Friends kids goto helensvale high, and are more than happy with the results and level of discipline and teaching methods

I played golf at hope island a few years back, grass was too nice to walk on..got treated like i was bleedin royalty, mind you it was $220 a round..so Hope island gets my vote...bloody nice joint, just dont make the mistake of renting there and then having to buy somewhere else..that would be just one massive downsize.

Yep! We live in Parkwood on the Arundel border (renting at the mo) and Hope Island is indeed very posh. Arundel is more 'normal' but Helensvale Girls is supposed to be real good (2nd hand info - we don't have kids!)
My vote would be Hope Island but as the above says, any move will certainly be down (unless you have loadsa money!?)

OK so I'm the odd one out. I would hate to live on Hope Island or any of those up there. Sodding big houses crammed on top of each other but cost a fortune because they are the front line to the next Tsunami.
Out of the two I'd go for Arundel every time. I know you're only renting but I still wouldn't go Hope Island. You'd have more 'normal' neighbours in Arundel as well.

Re: arundle or hope island
Obviously people prefer the northern end if they are commuting to Brissie - that wasn't part of the query though.
From my (limited) experience, the people I know up on Hope Island never ever see their neighbours who are either never there, never step outside the front door and don't socialise with each other unless it's on the golf course. Houses on streets in Arundel 'appear' to be more user friendly.
Don't get huffy by something I didn't say.
