ARTC trade test
I have got my ARTC trade practical and theory test coming up. Does anyone know what is actually on it? It would be a great help to study up on those theory parts I have forgotten.
cheers |

Re: ARTC trade test
Mine took a lot of messing about. First they said I didn't have enough evidence. The trade test took time as the place shut down over xmas and Jan. So without the the hold ups it took about 3 months.
The test was very easy and not to complicated and they told me I passed the same day. Pretty much a farce as everyone copied of eaqch other (in melbourne this is). |
Re: ARTC trade test
Hi Adrian,
I am just starting my application for ARTC, any information on lack of evidence and content of trade test would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks |

Re: ARTC trade test
Big John,
I really didnt give enough evidence at all. I rushed into getting it sent off. The impression I got after is that they wanted as much evidence on every aspect of your career. The trade test involved 3 hr theory and 3 hour prac. Theory: Alot on motors and starters Ohms law resistors in series and parallel transformers Prac: wire two sockets and a two way light in conduit and connect to Consumer Unit reverse a 3 phase motor Really not that hard just a bit on motors that they seem pretty keen on |
