Arriving in Perth with stuff and shipping it to Brissie whilst I travel.
Is that possible?
If we don't take our fulll emmigration allowance then we'll have to pay for more to be shipped out in tea-chest - We've sold all the furniture with the house.
I was also think that I would send all the kitched stuff etc before we leave so that it will be waiting in port for us when we arrive. Can you leave youitems at the port in storage and collect them later (we're travelling a bit before we settle in Brissie.)
Any tips? Anyone done it before? KNow of a way to send stuff across the country and store it in Brissie?
Getting really excited now. About to sell my car. Last thing in the world I own of any monetary vcalue! Anyone want a yelloo wbettle with Pink Daisies for 8,500?

Any ideas about getting stuff sent from perth Airport to Brisbane?

I was hoping to take the full emmigration allowance onto the plane from Brum then, when I arrived in perth, Pack a ruck sack with what we'dd need for a month and send the rest of the case on to Brisbane to wait for us when we arrive. I thought this might work out cheaper than shipping it in tea chests from OZ. I will have to ship some stuff this way (kitchen stuff etc) but was trying to cut costs.
Like I said, storage and transport WILL cost a fortune. Just to give you an idea, I send stuff on road transport everyday(eg a small 3kg carton to Rockhampton from Brisbane cost over $40 on the cheapest road transport). Perth is alot further than that and then you also have to factor in storage anyway. It would be easier and just as cheap to send the bulk of the stuff on a shared container to Brisbane and carry only what you need for the month.
