Default Arrived in Brisbane

Hi guys,

Well we are here at last.

We stopped off at singapore at the sheraton hotel which was really swish with excellent service. You could shop for ever there. We flew with Quantas which was ok, not quite as good as singapore but still good.

Next we went down to new south wales to visit relatives out in the bush. It was very quiet with little to do, hubbie and son went fishing on the river. It was nice to relax after the stress of the last few weeks/months.

Today we arrived in Brisbane. We have just prepared food for a barbie, brought 9 large steaks for about 12 quid, hows that? Sitting here with a beer and relaxing.

We hope to take the kids to dream world over the next couple of days, go to the sunshine meet if it is still on, maybe go to the beach or something, just chillin really.

We fligh to Cairns on the 2nd August ready to start our new life. Hubbies new boss will pick us up from the airport and take us to the apartments that they have rented for us.

We have been travelling for the past week and I have felt a little home sick at times. Spoke to mum on the phone for the first time this morning but felt better after talking to her. It feels strange and different but good. They are all wrapped up in jumpers here, saying it is cold, we walk round in t-shirt and they seem to know we are pommies. We haven't encountered any mozzies yet, too cold.

Anyhow, must go now as the power for the lap top is to go soon.

I will keep in touch and let u know how our journey unfolds.

Mandy

Welcome. What is it your husband does for a living, out of interest.
