arrived 10th December......hello
Hi
Just wanted to introduce myself and say hi to anyone in this area (Avalon NSW). Loving Aussie life so far, both my hubby and I got jobs quickly and our 13 year old daughter has made a lot of new friends since starting school and is also enjoying life here.
Good luck to all those back in the UK still waiting, your time will come, it's worth the waiting and headache.

Welcome to Oz. I live on the Central Coast and have been here since May, nearly a year already. Not sure were Avalon is in respect to us.

Hi Karen
Welcome!
We are not so far from you - in Warriewood. Been here since November and loving it! We have 3 daughters all under 8 and have settled in well though neither hubby or me are working at the mo. Good to hear you are happy - it's not hard when you choose such a beautiful spot!
Joho - if you took the ferry to Palm Beach, Avalon would be less than a 10 minute drive away! Taking the roads though would take you an hour and a half probably!

I know Warriewood, we shop there quite often and our daughter goes to the pictures there too. You're right it is a beautiful spot and close enough to Sydney and Manly, have you been to Manly Dam yet? If not take the kids there, swimming stuff and BBQ stuff, spent Australia Day there and it was great and very picturesque, reminded me of the lakes back in North Wales where we're from, great for the kids.
