I have put together a checklist for stuff to do before we leave the Uk, courtesy of the fantastic posts by Carianne (sorry if I spelt it wrong)!! and a few other bits 'n bobs.

I havent found much info regarding a checklist for upon arrival and have only come up with the other list...any other ideas? I will then collate all the lists out onto spreadsheet thangs if anyone wants a copy of them.

Job Hunting
Collate all certificates for Training etc
Register with job agencies

Accomodation
Check rentals on line
Arrange for rental viewings on arrival
Arrange accomodation in hotel or B&B

Car Rental
Arrange for car rental for first 2 weeks (rentnewcars.com)

Other
Get e-mail addresses for everyone

if family and friends feature strongly in your life maybe some kind of goodbye event, if they don't leave them a note as to where you've gone just for future reference - wills / lottery wins etc ?

Yeah trying to put together spreadsheets for everything at the moment...Just so I dont miss anything...am currently trying to put together a cost of living one for Brissie just so I dont get any suprises.

Quite scarey though checking down the list...we are not going until Feb/March 2006 but are already checking things off the list :scared:

makes sure the spreadsheets are set for 'automatic' calculcation and not 'manual' that has screwed up many a financial plan for me in the past. You'll need to keep a list of all your lists if you are starting all your planning now.

Yeah BaconMaster reckon a good knees up would also need to be tagged onto the list!!! although I would expect it to be very emotional....mmm...I wonder if I subliminaly missed it off the list on purpose!
