Arrival accommodation Brisbane area

Was wondering if anyone could recommend somewhere to stay on our arrival to the Brisbane area? Either above or below Brisbane, were not fussed where just needs to be cheap ,clean and room enough for 2 adults and 1 toddler !!
Not sure how long we may need it for maybe 4 weeks while were trying to find a rental?
Any ideas would be highly appreciated :)
Thank you
Sunbound

hi
we stayed at a great litle house in holland park west called 'the peace retreat', quite old fashioned furniture wise, but fantastic veiws of the city from the big queenslander room, had everything you could need for the first month, and easy to get everywhere, would highly recommend it, lady who owns it is lovely and it was very reasonably priced should be listed with stayz.com.au

Hi Guys - we arrive for our Reccie on the 27th December, and will only spending a couple of days in Brisbane (heading down the coast to Sydney then Melbourne) and at the most would want to spend 2 nights in Brisbane before heading South.

I guess a Hotel towards the Coast would suit us best (will have a day up at Australia Zoo so want to keep travelling time to about an hour by Car).

So any recommendations of nice and cost-effective hotels would be appreciated?

Ta!

:D

Hi Dale,
Actually i'd prefer to be right where you are.
At the moment we are a little in limbo as our house hasn't sold and we are in the process of weighing up whether to come out anyway. If we do it will be beginning of Oct probably 1st and obviously we will want to get ourselves into a long term rental as soon as possible. Are you busy around that time?

Hi Sunbound, been busy recently and earliest availability would be from 5th of October, is the housing market picking up. We sold at a loss, but with exchange rate dropping, houses/interest rates rising here the loss got canceled out with rises and falls.

Good Luck with the sale. Dale
