Default Arranging a Rental while on a Reccie

We are going out to Brisbane the last 2 weeks in April then if all OK move out in June (about 6 weeks later).

If we looked at long term rentals while we were out there does anyone know if it's possible to arrange a rental that would start when we go out in June or do they always require you to start the contract straight away.

We have a bank account set up in OZ now and would have the funds in it to pay a deposite/bond.

You may drop lucky but with the speed of movement on the rental market, you may find that if you can't take up the lease right away, they may not be interested. Often properties aren't advertised until about 2 weeks before the existing lease is up.
