Default Army cadets anybody? East Ringwood, Melbourne

Anybody got any bored teenagers in Melbourne East?

My son's army cadet unit is looking for new cadets.

They are based at 4CER, Ringwood East and meet every Thursday, 7.00-9.00.

This week is big for them. Today they attended the pre-ANZAC Day service at the Ringwood Clocktower followed by food at Ringwood RSL. On Friday he will be attending Bayswater and Warrandyte services as part of the honour guard (standing very still with the Aussteyer rifle).

It's good for their self-confidence and they learn a lot about looking after themselves.

Due to the Geneva Convention they are not allowed to be become trained killers - think of it as Scouts with more discipline.

PM if you want more details.

Ian
