Arghhhh Spiders I'm Becoming Obsessed
And cockroaches, dont get me started on them, not the little one, the really big ugly ones. I found one this morning on the bathroom floor on its back, luckily before scooping it up i decided to give it a quick blow, and it was still alive, arghhhh, I decided to leave it in the hope it would be dead by the time I got back from work but then 5 mins later it had dissapeared. It now appears to be dead behind the bathroom door. I'm taking no chances it can stay until hubby gets back from business.
We have also had a mighty big huntsman and a whitetail. Oh and the other night a house spider (sounds harmless, but no not in Aus) decided it wanted to kip in bed with us. luckily the cat found it. arghhhh.
I'm becoming obsessed.

Well all I can say is that I've been seriously disappointed. I've only seen a couple of huntsman, and nothing anywhere near the size of that beauty in your pic Haven't seen any snakes or wild crocs either. Very poor.

I think i would suck it up with the hoover and then chuck the hoover outside until OH came home. I just know that i couldn't keep going into a room with it still up there

Methinks it's a tad too big to be sucked up the hoover.....looks like it would fight ya for the moretin spray can so fire thrower or bazooka may be the only option

I'm dreading the day that this happens to me. My first reaction would be to run a mile (while screaming), but also in the back of my mind I would be worrying that if I left it unattended, and it disappeared, I'd like a paranoid lunatic until it was found again. Strangely enough for all my fear of them, I hate killing them, as I feel my fear is not their fault and they should have to die for it!. What to do, what to do. Does anyone know of some type of spider catcher on a very long pole I'm coming out in a cold sweat just thinking about it.

Get a MAN in? And that's not me, by the way ... I'm scared of spiders and the wife hates Cane Toads so we share the duties.
On the other hand I am more scared of going back to the UK and back to my regular nights in The City Wall followed by a evening at the Casino Cabaret Rooms so I think I'll stick it out here

You'd need a really long pole for me to get anywhere near that thing!. Surely there is nothing big enough I think even dh would be a little scared of that one.
I am of the same opinion, if you leave it alone, where will it show up next? I would have to get it out of the house to be sane again!

Insect spray works well outside as long as you have a large enough can. The vaccuum sounds like a good option now. Also training the kids so that they can get them in future.
