Default Area Information - Joondalup

Could any one let me know what the Joondalup area is like for families. We are relocating to Perth and thinking of settling in Joondalup so any advice would be great.

Hi, do you mean the City of Joondalup, the local government area? If so, that consists of the suburbs of Beldon, Burns Beach, Connolly, Craigie, Currambine, Duncraig, Edgewater, Greenwood, Heathridge, Hillarys, Iluka, Joondalup, Kallaroo, Kingsley, Kinross, Marmion, Mullaloo, Ocean Reef, Padbury, Sorrento, Warwick and Woodvale.

There is a lot of info on the City of Joondalup's website http://profile.id.com.au/Default.asp...d=10&type=enum. Lots of BE members live in these areas, and you can look up the stats on British migrants on the website, under the "Who are we?" section.

The Mitchell Freeway runs through the middle of this area, in a north-south direction, with connecting roads running east to west. The northern suburbs train line runs up the middle of the freeway. Not too far from the beach, about 20 minutes on the train to the Perth CBD. Major shopping centres at Lakeside and Hillarys (Whitfords), medium ones at Warwick and Currambine, smaller ones in several locations.

You will get a mixed view of schools in this area, some good and OK primary schools, whilst state high schools can vary a lot. There are private schools too, but often with long waiting lists.

I've added the suburb to your title, more people will read it that way
